SAP Technology Solutions

TechEd 2022 will appeal to IT professionals working in SAP in the areas of administration, system architecture, business processes, data science, development security and UI design, as well as to a wider audience of business executives and those working with SAP on a daily basis.

While many professionals working in these areas have a good grasp of programming languages, one of the more recent themes arising from last year’s TechEd 2021 and continuing this year is Low-Code/No-Code application development which opens up the possibility of application development to those without programming experience.

For example in a session called Speed Business Transformation with App Development and Automation Tools [AD101], Sebastian Schroetel, SAP’s Head of Low-Code/No-Code products will explain how anyone can develop and integrate applications and processes using Low-Code/No-Code developer tools.

ABAP specialists will be catered for in a series of sessions covering how to build cloud-ready ABAP-based applications and extensions, how SAP’s ABAP platform extensibility strategy provides a variety of options for customers and partners, and how to smoothly integrate S/4HANA with SAP BTP and ABAP extensions.

Technology vs Business Focus

TechEd will be for those who are interested in the technological details of development and integration. While the Sapphire events are often more generalised and business focussed TechEd provides a forum for those that want to explore the “how” of SAP technology.

Of course there is a symbiotic relationship between these two aspects of SAP systems: the technology fulfils the function of providing business processes with a digital backbone and nervous system, but very often the technological aspect of SAP is eclipsed by the economic necessities of the business side.

This yearly event provides a forum for the brightest developer minds to communicate at their level and is a great educational experience for those seeking to understand more about the essence of SAP technology, so why not register and open your mind to a world of possibilities.
